This notice is issued in terms of Regulation 4(2) of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, 2014 (as amended) for the granting of the EA in terms of Section 24 L of the National Environment Management Act (No. 107 of 1998) as amended, (NEMA).
Notice is hereby given that the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEADP), on 13 October 2025, granted and issued ArcelorMittal South Africa (Pty) Ltd (AMSA) Saldanha Steel Works with an EA for the proposed Development of a Logistics Hub and Associated Infrastructure on the Remainder of the farm 113, Port of Saldanha, Saldanha Bay, Western Cape Province.
