Zandheuvel Phosphate Mining and Beneficiation Project

Dear Stakeholder

You are recorded as a registered interested and affected party (IAP) in respect of the above application by Adelaide Ruiters Mining and Exploration (Pty) Ltd (ARME) located on remainder of the farm Zandheuvel No. 126, portion 61 of the farm Witteklip No. 123, portion of remaining extent of portion 2 of the farm Yzervarkensrug No. 127 and portion of portion 1 of the farm Phillips Kraal No. 124. This letter serves to notify you of the competent authority’s decision on the application.

On 7 September 2026, the Western Cape Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR): Mineral Regulation, granted an Integrated Environmental Authorisation. A copy of the decision and the reasons for the decision will be furnished on request. To obtain a copy, please contact the Public Participation Office.

Any registered IAP who is aggrieved by the decision has the right to appeal. An appeal must be lodged in terms of Chapter 2 of the National Appeal Regulations, 2025. Please find details regarding the appeal process within the attached letter.
