Video taken of algae near Konstabel Kop that was incorrectly identified as sewage or wastewater.

News

A Recent video taken near Konstabel Kop in the Langebaan lagoon depicting algae flowing into the lagoon as sewage or waste water is in fact dried mats of summer growth of filamentous algae, resuspended and flushed out by the tides as the recent WQT test results taken on 12 February 2026 indactes.
